Indications/Uses

Serious gm -ve bacterial infections (eg, septicemia), bone & joint infections, female, pelvic, intra-abdominal infections, gm -ve pneumonia, skin & soft tissue infections, burn wound infections & complicated UTI caused by susceptible organisms; meningitis in childn & adults; uncomplicated gonorrhea; later stages of Lyme disease.

Dosage/Direction for Use

IM/IV Adult & adolescent 1-2 g once daily. May be increased up to 4 g daily in severe infections. Ped patient 25-37.5 mg/kg daily.
